🔌 Setup

  1. Connect the supplied power cable to the back of the device.

  2. Connect the supplied Ethernet cable for internet connection.

  3. Wait for the device to start up:

    • Status indicator will display 🟠 breathing orange while booting (~30 sec).

    • Status indicator will change to 🟠 blinking orange once the device is ready for initialization.

⚡️ Initialize

  1. Ensure there are no plates in the input or output carousels.

    • Until initialization has been complete, carousel ⬅️ ➡️ rotation buttons are disabled, thus plates must be removed without rotating the carousels.

      • It is recommended to not leave plates in the machine while it is powered off / before initialization to avoid trouble of removing plates at this stage.

  2. Press the ⏯️ primary button to begin initialization.

    • Status indicator will display 🟠 animating orange while initializing (~3 min).

    • Status indicator will change to ⚪ static white when initialization is complete.

  3. Check the output carousel on the right and remove any purged plates.

    • Any plates left inside the device will be purged to Column K of the output carousel, and the column indicator will flash red.

ℹ️ Device initialization

  • Initialization prepares the machine to be used after a restart.

  • After the initialization procedure has been started the machine will rotate the input and output carousels, as well as the internal mechanism, to safe positions.

  • At this point, the machine potentially contains plates, therefore as a final step, the machine purges any internal plates.

▶️ Start a run

  1. Check that the device is ready:

    • Initialization step must be completed before your first run.

    • Output carousel on the right must be empty.

    • Status indicator must be ⚪ static white.

  2. Fill the input carousel on the left with the plates to be analyzed.

All plates must have lids, and the lid must face up. Never load plates upside down.

    • Do not insert plates into columns with blockers installed. These blockers are intentionally placed by Reshape staff to match your run configuration.

    • Fill only open columns with as many plates as will comfortably fit.

    • The carousel columns have flexible side-bars that bend to allow plate insertion. Gently push a column of plates through the bars—some resistance is normal and expected.

    • Hold plates flat and horizontal while inserting.

    • Press ⬅️ ➡️ rotation buttons on the left to to rotate the input carousel to access more columns.

  3. Press the ⏯️ primary button to start a run.

    • Status indicator will change to 🟣 animating purple while device is running.

    • If any plates are detected in the output carousel, their respective column indicators will flash and the run will be automatically cancelled.

  4. Once run is complete, remove plates from the output carousel on the right.

    • Status indicator returns to ⚪ static white when run is finished.

ℹ️ Plate categorization / sorting

  • During the run, plates are imaged and analyzed based on the selected analysis in the Reshape Quality service.

  • Each plate is sorted into a category, with categories mapped to specific output column(s) and indicated by a consistent color on both the output carousel and in the UI.

  • The red category indicates an error (e.g. missing barcode, failed analysis), while the other colors correspond to the categories configured in the Reshape Quality web platform.

⏸️ Pause or cancel a run

  1. To pause a run, press the ⏯️ primary button once.

    • Device will pause at its next safe position.

    • Status indicator will change to 🟣 static purple while device is paused.

    • The run can be resumed by pressing the ⏯️ primary button again.

  2. To cancel a run, press and hold the ⏯️ primary button for 3 seconds.

    • Device will stop loading new plates, and finish imaging plates already in progress.

    • Status indicator will display 🟣 breathing purple during cancellation.
